Rockstar Games has finally lifted the curtain on Grand Theft Auto VI, officially confirming its release window for Fall 2025. After years of leaks, rumors, and impatient fans, it’s now official: GTA 6 is coming exclusively to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, bringing back the legendary Vice City in a whole new form.
Set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired heavily by Florida, the game promises to deliver the most ambitious open-world experience Rockstar has ever created. Vice City, the series’ iconic version of Miami, returns with ultra-realistic visuals, dynamic weather, and a living, breathing city that evolves as the story progresses.
For the first time since 2000, GTA will feature a female protagonist. Players will follow Lucia, a tough and resourceful woman involved in a series of high-stakes crimes alongside her unnamed male partner. Rockstar teased that the story will focus on loyalty, betrayal, and survival in the chaotic streets of Vice City.

Since the first official trailer dropped in December 2023, the hype has exploded, with over 250 million views recorded in just a few months. Despite the massive attention, Rockstar has remained silent about gameplay mechanics, leaving fans speculating about what surprises are yet to come.
However, insider reports suggest that GTA 6 will include:
- A next-generation physics engine,
- More immersive NPC behavior,
- Enhanced heist mechanics,
- Real-time city evolution influenced by player choices.
Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, revealed that the marketing campaign will intensify starting this summer. Fans can expect more trailers, gameplay showcases, and exclusive reveals leading up to the highly anticipated launch.

2025 might just be the year when the open-world genre is redefined once again — and GTA 6 is leading the charge.
